I tried tweaking the settings in the Nvidia manager to prioritize the graphics card to no avail. Installed a more up-to-date version of the 2020 one, you guessed it, crashing. I also tried just running Illustrator in Administrator, nothing. I tried reinstalling them, still nothing. I tried setting the priorities for the programs in Task Manager, nothing. Yes, the Nvidia drivers are up to date too. Yes, my BIOS is up to date, as far as I know. I've seen a few people having the same issue, with the Illustrator, or with Adobe programs, but none had a viable solution to the problem. After restarting the laptop it works again, but as soon as I'm starting to work in Illustrator after like 20-30 minutes, it crashes again with the same problem. But now I'm pretty sure it's the GPU, because when I click on the Nvidia taskbar icon a window pops up warning me that there is no graphics card in my machine. At first, I thought it was a RAM issue, I know manufacturers are cheaping-out on RAMs these days, one of the reasons I bought the 2020 edition instead of the 2021. If I manage to close the applications running (Illustrator, possibly Chrome, or File Manager) the GPU stops showing signs of life. Opening and working in Adobe Illustrator 2020 freezes my laptop, stops, flickers to black screen then back to forth until I restart the computer. The problem I'm having is the aforementioned crash problems. Screen: 15.6" 144Hz version (for the almost 100% sRGB coverage, and 75% Adobe RGB) So I recently purchased the Lenovo Legion 5 (2020) with the following specs:
